A local hospital is gathering up Beannie Babies to send to servicemen in Iraq and Afghanistan. The soldiers tuck these toys under their shirts and then give them away to children they meet while they are on patrol.
I have collected some of the Beannie Babies; plus, I decided to add to this collection by sewing up some similar toys such as some animals and dolls that I have stuffed with either rice for the animals and stuffing for the dolls.
Susan, what a great idea, as a matter of fact I have two bookcases of Beannie Babies that I would love to donate to this cause. If you could let me know where to send them to I would be thrilled to do this. I haven’t gotten rid of them because are expense to just throw away, but this would be perfect. Please email me.

We're almost out of the Beach Walk Quilt, so if you've been eyeballing it, you'd better get yours before it too late! http://bit.ly/kiJ5hs11 months ago
